Welcome to my page. My name is Shone Lambert, and I am the new Environmental Science Teacher. This is my first year here at GSIC, and I am so thrilled to get to work with all the teachers and interact with all the new students this school year.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in a city called Clinton, South Carolina. I attended Clinton High School and graduated from there in 1993. I then was enrolled at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC where I majored in instrumental Music Education. I wanted to be a band director when I graduated from college. During my college years, it was then that I married my high school sweetheart. We share a son together. His name is Christian Alexander. He'll be turning 25 in June of 2025. After college, I was able to teach band in private schools for a couple of years, but alas, that setting did not continue to work for me.
Before I came here to GSIC, I was in fast food management for 20+ years. It was ok, but my heart still wanted to get back into teaching. So I applied to GSIC and as they say, the rest is history. So currently, I live in North Augusta, SC with my fiance of 7 years and our cat Sally. My fiance is a SPED teacher in Edgefield County in South Carolina.
This year will be my first year teaching Environmental Science and World History. I am very much excited to both teach and learn with my students. I look forward to a very prosperous and thought provoking year this year. If anyone has any questions or would like to get in touch with me, the best way is to email me at slambert@gsiccharter.education. I will most definitely get back to you as soon as I possibly can. Thank you all, and I look forward to an amazing school year!!!
