• WELCOME TO 5th GRADE SCIENCE WITH MRS. FARR!!!

My name is Michelle Farr.  Teaching is an absolute passion of mine!  This is my ninth year teaching fifth grade and my eighth year teaching at Georgia School for Innovation and the Classics.  I am so excited to be working with you and your child!  It’s going to be a year full of fun and learning!  I have done my best to create a comfortable and nurturing environment in my classroom.  Students will need one notebook and one green folder for science class.  They may choose whichever type of each that they prefer and they will end up needing two notebooks for the entire year. In science class we will use scissors, glue, and colored pencils or crayons on a fairly regular basis as well.

Here is a little bit about me.  I am married to my wonderful husband, Stephen.  We have a son, Isaac, who is twenty-one, a daughter, Layla, who is eighteen, and a daughter, Ava, who is ten.  They take up most of my free time, but a few hobbies I enjoy are shopping, reading, and caring for my cats.

I received my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Augusta University.  I have lived in Augusta for thirteen years now.  It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  It is so important to keep an open line of communication and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need.  I look forward to a great year together!

    Sincerely,

    Michelle Farr
