My name is Monica Mitchell, and I am excited to be a part of the GSIC team. This is my seventh year at GSIC, and it is an honor to be able to work with your students to help them reach their full potential. I will be Co-Teaching in 4th grade ELA and all core subjects for 5th grade.

I am an Army Brat originally from Queens, NY. I graduated from Evans High School. I graduated from Augusta College with a BBA in Marketing and from Augusta State University with a MAT in Special Education. I have been married to my husband, Hopeton, for 28 years. We have two children: Felicia, 26, and Brandon, 24.
