Hello! My name is Emily Lowe. I am a 2017 graduate of Augusta University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education. 2024-2025 will mark my 8th year teaching at GSIC! I love teaching Language Arts because I feel it is the core of every other subject. I love to get the kids reading, and I love to teach grammar; it is my favorite part of Language Arts. I am really looking forward to getting your students excited about Language Arts as well.

     I have a wonderful husband, Phillip, and we have two handsome sons, Logan and Lincoln. We also have a great dane; her name is Addie. My family is very close and very important to me. Besides teaching, some hobbies include singing, bowling, sports, and cooking. Sports are my passion. My favorite sports are football and baseball, and I'm one of the biggest Georgia Bulldog fans you'll ever meet! I'm also a Christmas enthusiast; it's my absolute favorite time of the year. 

     I became a teacher because watching students grow in their knowledge inspires me. It brings me great joy to help them become life-long learners. Knowledge is important, and I hope by the end of the school year I have motivated your students to feel the same way.
